FGI Community Update: February 2026

As we move through the start of the year, we’ve been energized by moments that remind us how powerful near-peer learning and community connection can be for students. From campus classrooms to museum meeting rooms, our work continues to be shaped by the people who show up for young investors every day.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s been happening at First Generation Investors.

Welcoming New School Partners

We’re excited to share that this year, First Generation Investors has expanded our community of partner schools.

New University Partnerships

  • Seton Hall University
  • University of Houston
  • University of Washington
  • Boston College
  • La Salle University
  • Johnson C Smith University
  • Tarleton State University
  • Columbia University

New High School Partnerships

  • Urban League of Greater Atlanta
  • Spokane International Academy
  • Jackson-Reed High School
  • Dunbar High School
  • Minds Matter Philadelphia
  • Building 21 Philadelphia
  • Orange High School
  • Cristo Rey Jesuit
  • Garfield High School
  • 'I Have A Dream Foundation' Chelsea

Each new partnership represents more students gaining access to long-term investing education and more college tutors stepping into leadership roles as mentors and educators.

We’re grateful to the educators, administrators, and campus partners who are helping bring FGI’s program to life in new classrooms and communities.

Financial Literacy in Action at The Franklin Institute

On January 31, college tutors from Drexel University met with student ambassadors at The Franklin Institute for an interactive financial literacy workshop focused on long-term investing and building confidence around money.

These sessions are powerful because students get to learn from someone just a few steps ahead of them, ask honest questions, and build confidence around money.

Looking Ahead

As we continue the year, we’re looking forward to reflecting on the progress made over the past year and sharing more about the students, partnerships, and programs that made it possible. We look forward to sharing that reflection with you soon.
