This month, we're hearing directly from our students, and cheering on Sophie MacKeigan as she takes on the TCS New York City Marathon for FGI.
In Their Own Words

For many of our students, FGI is where investing stops being abstract and starts feeling like something they can actually use.
“I can use investing to let my money work harder than I do," one FGI student said. ”I know that small investments can potentially grow over time, helping me pay for college, buy a home, and even retire somewhere warm with zero stress and maximum snacks.”
Your support makes moments like this possible.
Team FGI Spotlight: Sophie MacKeigan Runs the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for FGI

Next up in our Team FGI spotlight series, the second of four: Sophie MacKeigan.
Sophie's connection to FGI goes back to college at Middlebury, where she got involved as a tutor. Today she works in Fixed Income Sales & Trading, and she's one of four runners taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Team FGI.
"What's kept me connected has been the passion everyone in the FGI community has for making financial literacy more accessible, as well as my general love for investing."
Training this summer has looked different for a former college lacrosse player.
"It's literally a marathon not a sprint, so I've had to learn to run slow and trust my training process, versus just running as fast as I can like in a fitness test."
One of the best parts about August in New York City, she said, is Summer Streets, where she can run alongside hundreds of people up a car-free Park Ave, a street usually filled with traffic.
Tutoring FGI students on markets, stocks, and bonds during college helped shape Sophie's path into Fixed Income Sales & Trading, and she says it still gives her perspective, a reminder of the real world impact behind the products she works with every day.
Thank you for being part of the FGI community.
