There is plenty happening behind the scenes at FGI this summer.
FGI at The Big North Takeover’s Youth Empowerment Event

Financial literacy is life literacy. Last month, The Big North Takeover, a youth empowerment organization founded by Donald Stewart, hosted a free event bringing mentorship, resources, and opportunity to kids beyond the field. FGI was proud to be part of it.
It was inspiring to see Donald and the entire Big North Takeover team, joined by NY Giants cornerback Paulson Adebo, investing in the next generation. It reflects something we believe deeply at FGI: when students are exposed to new possibilities early, whether on the field or in a brokerage account, they gain the confidence and knowledge to build real options for their future.
We're proud to stand alongside organizations creating meaningful opportunities for kids and expanding what's possible in our communities.
Summer Pilot Program: Strong Results with Upward Bound
This summer, FGI ran a pilot program through partnerships with Upward Bound programs in Texas and Florida, bringing financial literacy and real investing experience to students beyond their traditional classrooms. Close to 100 students completed the program with tutors from three universities.
The feedback from our Upward Bound partners was strongly positive, and there's real interest in continuing the collaboration. As one partner shared with our team, “Thank you for supporting our students and providing them with a cool experience in the world of investing from a current college student perspective.”
Given that success, we plan to start regularly offering our program during the summer to select locations where we are active. We’re grateful to all our partners and supporters who continue to help expand the program.
Team FGI Spotlight:
Saverio Kaufman Runs the TCS 2026 New York City Marathon for FGI

We're kicking off a four-part spotlight series on the runners taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Team FGI. First up is Saverio Kaufman. He's been part of the FGI story since college, when he served as a tutor, and today he's a Private Banker at J.P. Morgan and one of four runners taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Team FGI.
"I have seen this organization grow and positively influence hundreds of students since my time as a tutor in college," Saverio said. "As someone who is passionate about running, this opportunity is especially meaningful because it allows me to combine something I love with a cause I truly care about."
Saverio ran the Jersey City Marathon back in April and has kept up his training through the summer heat, which he says beats training through the cold. But his connection to FGI's mission runs deeper than the miles.
"I believe the fundamentals of saving and investing should be taught in every classroom," he said. "Seeing the pride and excitement on students' faces as they completed the course and began their investing journey reinforced the impact of financial education and continues to inspire me to support the organization in any way I can."
Thank you for being part of the FGI community.
