First Generation Investors (FGI) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that teaches high school students in underserved communities the power of investing and brings classroom lessons to life by providing students real money to invest.
How The Program Works
College students teach area high school students about investing and give them real money to invest.
We keep administrative costs to a minimum, so 100% of donations go directly to high school students' accounts.

1. Recruiting
College student volunteers enroll local high school students

2. Teaching
Volunteers deliver interactive lessons about investing

3. Investing
Students choose their investments using real funds provided by donors

"My experiences have been very different from any other environment. The tutors are very down to earth and the lessons don't give you the feeling you are in class. Everyone has fun and is engaged."
- Ramir, Philadelphia Student
